Animation Studio

Our in-house animation studio will create scientific animation and visualization graphics and videos for the ICMS and TU/e in general. A special focus will be on bridging length scales, scientifically as well as visually and on the development of a new visual language for complex molecular systems. The images and movies created in the studio can also be used for popular scientific communication. TU/e students from different departments will work together to make these movies, guided by a full-time specialist. In the studio there are possibilities for internships, undergraduate projects and student jobs (student assistants).

Ongoing work

A still from “Dendrimers in action”, one of the animations currently being created in the ICSM Animation Studio. This animation will feature the complex aggregation behavior of water soluble dendrimer-guest complexes as described by PhD student Thomas Hermans in his Nature Nanotechnology paper. See the ICMS 'News Page' for more information about the paper.
